Art. 1. Information about the economic operator
These Terms and Conditions (T&C) regulate the conditions of using the website www.hotelpietroasa.ro and of booking / purchasing hotel services offered by:

According to art. 6 of Law no. 365/2002 regarding electronic commerce and art. 8 of Law no. 50/2024 (DSA), this information must be permanently available, easily accessible, updated and usable by public authorities. Their display in the footer of the website fulfills this obligation.
Art. 2. Scope and acceptance of conditions
- 2.1. These T&C apply to all reservations made through www.hotelpietroasa.ro, by e-mail, by phone or through online distribution platforms (OTA), to the extent that there are no special conditions negotiated separately.
- 2.2. By ticking the agreement box at the time of booking, the customer confirms that he has read and accepts these T&C. According to GEO 34/2014, the check cannot be pre-checked by the operator (there can be no default checked boxes).
- 2.3. The applicable T&C version is the one published on the website at the time of booking.
- 2.4. Legal entity customers do not benefit from the protection of GEO 34/2014 (intended for natural person consumers); relations with them are governed by the Civil Code.
Art. 3. Description of services and prices
- 3.1. SC Pietroasa S.A. offers accommodation services (3 and 4 star rooms), public catering (Restaurant ATEMPO by Hotel Pietroasa), conference rooms and related services (spa, guided tours, transport), classified according to ANT Order no. 65/2013, amended by Order no. 510/2022.
- 3.2. The prices displayed on www.hotelpietroasa.ro are expressed in RON (RON) and include VAT (11% for accommodation services according to art. 291 of Law no. 227/2015 — Fiscal Code). The local accommodation tax applicable in the municipality of Buzau can be charged additionally and is explicitly mentioned in the offer.
- 3.3. Prices may include or exclude breakfast, parking or other services — explicitly stated in each rate. Prices can be changed without notice, without affecting reservations already confirmed in writing.
- 3.4. In case of obvious price errors (eg: price 0 RON, net price lower than cost), S.C. Pietroasa S.A. reserves the right to cancel the reservation and offer the correct rate, with immediate notification to the customer.
Art. 4. Reservation process and contract confirmation
- 4.1. Online booking constitutes an offer to contract on the part of the customer. The distance contract is considered concluded when the customer receives the written confirmation of the reservation by e-mail, according to art. 8 of GEO 34/2014.
- 4.2. The reservation confirmation will contain: the unique confirmation number, the dates of the stay, the room type, the total price (with all taxes included), the applicable cancellation policy and the hotel's contact details.
- 4.3. SC Pietroasa S.A. reserves the right to refuse a reservation in case of technical error, unavailability or suspicion of fraud, with the immediate refund of any amount paid.
- 4.4. The person making the reservation is jointly and severally responsible with all users of the reserved services for compliance with these T&C.
Art. 5. Payment methods
5.1. SC Pietroasa S.A. accepts the following payment methods:
- Bank card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) — online through a PCI-DSS certified secure processor, through Bancii Transilvania S.A.
- Bank transfer / payment order to: Banca Transilvania S.A., Buzau Branch, IBAN: RO[XX] BTRL [XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX]
- Cash at the hotel reception, within the limits of Law no. 70/2015 regarding cash payments
- Electronic / physical holiday vouchers (Sodexo, Edenred, Up Romania), according to GEO 8/2009 regarding holiday vouchers
- 5.2. Full payment or an advance may be requested at the time of booking for non-refundable rates or group bookings.
- 5.3. SC Pietroasa S.A. will issue the tax invoice for all services rendered, according to the Fiscal Code (Law 227/2015). The invoice can be requested at check-out or within 30 days.
- 5.4. At check-in, the hotel may request a pre-authorization on the card (blocking) equivalent to 1-3 nights, to cover possible damages or additional services. The pre-authorization is issued in 7-14 working days after check-out, depending on the issuing bank.
Art. 6. Check-in, check-out and access to services
- 6.1. The standard check-in time is 14:00 (Romanian time), and the check-out time is 12:00. Early check-in or late check-out requests are subject to availability and may be subject to an additional fee.
- 6.2. At check-in, the client is required to present a valid identity document (CI, passport or EU driver's license), whose data will be recorded according to GEO 150/2024 and the methodological rules regarding the tourist record.
- 6.3. Minors (under 18 years old) can be accommodated exclusively accompanied by an adult or based on the written consent of the parent / legal guardian, according to Law no. 272/2004 regarding the protection of children's rights, republished.
- 6.4. SC Pietroasa S.A. reserves the right to refuse access or to request the departure of the client who: presents himself in an evident state of intoxication or under the influence of prohibited substances; disturbs the order or peace of other customers; damages the property of the hotel; violates the internal regulation. In these cases, no reimbursement of the tariff related to unused nights is granted.
Art. 7. Cancellation policy and right of withdrawal
7.1. The cancellation policy varies depending on the type of tariff selected and is explicitly specified at the time of booking and in the written confirmation. The standard policy applied by S.C. Pietroasa S.A.:

Right of withdrawal (OG 34/2014, art. 16 letter l): accommodation services with a specified date are EXCEPTED from the general right of withdrawal of 14 days provided by GEO 34/2014 for distance contracts. This exception is expressly provided by law.
7.2. Cancellation can be made by: e-mail at [email protected], phone at 0720 999 437 or through the platform through which the reservation was made. The date and time of cancellation are calculated according to the Europe/Bucharest time zone.
7.3. Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed within a maximum of 14 calendar days from confirmation of the cancellation, through the same payment method used for the reservation (art. 13 GEO 34/2014).
Art. 8. Liability of S.C. Pietroasa S.A.
- 8.1. SC Pietroasa S.A. is responsible for the direct damages caused to the client due to the exclusive fault of the hotel, up to the value of the contracted services (art. 1350 of the Civil Code).
- 8.2. SC Pietroasa S.A. is not responsible for: indirect or consequential damages; force majeure or fortuitous event; theft of valuables not deposited in the room safe or at the hotel reception (according to Law no. 207/1997 on the responsibility of hoteliers); damages caused by the exclusive fault of the customer or a third party.
- 8.3. Force majeure exempts both parties from contractual obligations during the event, with the obligation to notify within 5 working days and present a force majeure certificate issued by the competent Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Art. 9. Internal regulations and rules of conduct
- 9.1. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all interior spaces of the hotel, according to Law no. 15/2016 regarding the prevention and combating of smoking. Smoking is allowed exclusively in specially designed and signposted areas.
- 9.2. Pets are NOT accepted inside the hotel.
- 9.3. Silence in the hotel must be respected between 23:00 and 08:00. Excessive noise may result in a request to vacate the room without refund.
- 9.4. The customer is responsible for any damage caused to the hotel's property during the stay. The counter value of the damage will be withheld from the guarantee established or invoiced separately.
- 9.5. It is forbidden to bring dangerous materials, flammable substances, weapons or substances prohibited by law into the hotel.
- 9.6. The maximum capacity of the rooms is the one established in the classification. It is not allowed to accommodate a number of people greater than that specified in the reservation.
Art. 10. Intellectual property
- 10.1. All the elements of the website www.hotelpietroasa.ro — texts, photos, graphics, logos, videos, the structure and design of the pages — are the property of S.C. Pietroasa S.A. or are used with the consent of the rights holders, protected by Law no. 8/1996 regarding copyright.
- 10.2. The reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial use of any content on the website is prohibited without the prior written consent of S.C. Pietroasa S.A.
Art. 11. Settlement of disputes
- 11.1. These T&C are governed by Romanian law. The competent court is the one at the headquarters of S.C. Pietroasa S.A. (Buzau Court), with the exception of cases where the law imposes another jurisdiction.
- 11.2. Any dispute will first be resolved amicably, by sending a written complaint to [email protected]. We promise to respond within 30 days.

Art. 12. Final provisions
- 12.1. If any clause of these T&C is considered null and void by a competent court, the other clauses remain in force.
- 12.2. Law no. 193/2000 on abusive clauses in contracts concluded between professionals and consumers applies in all relevant cases.
